I read one book (feel free to read my review here). Having been a young girl, I remember many of the books that changed my life.
1. I learned to spell “Connecticut” and about the signs, symptoms and burden of juvenile diabetes from The Babysitter’s Club.
2. I became a veritable expert on the Jewish experience during World War II. Thanks TimeLife World War Two, The Diary of Anne Frank, and assorted young adult novels on the subject.
3. I learned about the lusty inner lives of teenagers from Sweet Valley High, Fear Street and those Christopher Pike books.
I would have learned something from Twilight. And it disturbs me to think of what that might have been.
