Today is Memorial Day in the US. The whole team took the day off and the city is asleep, which is so rare it’s very interesting. Everyone left for a long weekend, but I felt like staying and enjoying the city. Walking in the quiet streets like Saada in the picture.  Or going to take a dive in one of the city’s swimming pools, because it is finally beautifully sunny out!
But wait, let’s talk about fashion for two minutes, cause fashion never sleeps it seems, do you guys see what I see? A jacket tied around the waist? Long time no see, right? What do you think?

Repost from the ever-lovely Garance Dore.

I try not to get all personal story on this thing—- not trying to harsh your mellow, nahmean?

But it is possible to be broken by the same thing over and over again. If you keep running into the same wall, listening to the same shit and swallowing the same garbage, you —and correct me if I’m wrong here — often end up getting the same result.

So it doesn’t matter that you have the power to invoke hell on earth or whether you decide to vent via Tumblr like it’s Livejournal 2.0, you did this to yourself.

You knew what this was. You knew who you were dealing with. From the horse’s mouth: “You know what I did. I would do it to you. Why would you want that?”

Because I, 1 year and 2 months later, am still crazy. Just less about you.

“Yellow looks good on brown,” said my friend with his designer’s eye.
I agree, she looks like a walking summer’s day.

Corinne Bailey Rae.
I love this giiiiiiiirrrrrrlllll.
I wish I could sing in sometimes inaudible English (“Put Your Records On”— had no idea what she’s saying half the time. Not then. Not ever.) and have magically buoyant hair.
I can’t help by re-blog The Sartorialist, especially when he is posting photos of one of the sisters of my sorority, Big Head Little Body.
As we Yanks pretending to be Brits say, Cheers!

Thank you, Garance, for saving me from a lifetime of regret.

For all of you who did not see the exhibit, here is a taste of the beauty that you all missed.
